With over 15 years of experience developing for the web, David has mastered many technologies. Server-side development with PHP, MySQL, and Linux continue to provide a backbone for many of his solutions. These days, he’s knee-deep in MongoDB and cloud server technology as well.

From 2004 to 2006, David worked as a lead Flash developer for Second Story Interactive Studios. As a freelancer, he has continued to stay in the forefront of Flash platform development with ActionScript, Flex, AIR, and frameworks such as RobotLegs, PureMVC, and his own Bumpslide Library, an open-source AS3 toolkit.

David is a co-manager of the Flash PDX user group, an Adobe Community Champion, and an active member of the Adobe prerelease programs.

His work has received numerous awards from the likes of FWA, Communication Arts, I.D. Annual Design Review, AIGA, and One Show Interactive. His work on the original AIGA Design Archives was featured in the Taschen publication, “Guidelines for Online Success”.
